CREWLOG
How it works

From setup to sent report

A complete walkthrough of how CREWLOG works — from creating your first project to sending professional reports to your clients.

01

Create your project

Add a new job with the project name, address, client info, and a brief description. This becomes the hub for everything related to that job — every report, photo, contact, and update lives here.

  • Project name, address, and description
  • Client name and email
  • Contacts for report delivery (architect, inspector, GC, etc.)
02

Build your team

Add team members who need access to the project. Assign roles — admins can manage settings, members can log reports, viewers can see progress. Control exactly who can do what.

  • Invite by email with role assignment
  • Admin, Member, and Viewer roles
  • Everyone sees the same project data in real time
03

Run your morning safety talk

Start the day with a toolbox talk right in the app. Pick from a library of 30+ standard safety topics, check off the hazards present on site, and sign off your crew. It is documented and on file — exactly what you need if WCB, OSHA, or your insurance ever asks.

  • 30+ built-in toolbox talk topics with talking points
  • Log site hazards and crew sign-off
  • Every talk saved to the project record
04

Log daily activity

At the end of each day (or during), open CREWLOG and record what happened. You can type your notes, use voice recording, or both. Mention the work completed, crew on site, materials delivered, weather, issues — anything relevant.

  • Type notes or record a voice memo
  • Add crew count, weather, and conditions
  • Works on your phone, tablet, or computer
05

Attach site photos

Snap photos of completed work, deliveries, site conditions, or anything you want documented. Photos attach to the day's report automatically with a timestamp so you have a complete visual record of the job.

  • Upload directly from your camera roll
  • Every photo is timestamped and stored with the project
  • Browse all photos in the project's photo gallery
06

AI generates the report

Once you've entered your notes and photos, hit generate. AI takes your raw input — even if it's rough, shorthand, or spoken casually — and turns it into a structured, professional daily report with proper formatting and construction-industry language.

  • Converts voice notes and rough text into polished reports
  • Organizes by section: work completed, issues, conditions, upcoming
  • You can review and edit before sending
07

Send to your clients

Choose who receives the report — your client, the architect, the inspector, or anyone else on the contact list. One tap sends the report by email. You can also add custom recipients on the fly.

  • Select from your saved contacts or add new ones
  • Customize the subject line and message
  • Reports include your email signature automatically
08

Track everything in one place

Every report and safety talk is archived by project and date. Pull up the full history of any job in seconds — every daily log, every photo, every toolbox talk, every contact. Use progress tracking to manage open tasks and see what still needs to get done.

  • Full report and safety talk archive by project and date
  • Photo gallery per project with timeline view
  • Task tracking with completion progress (Crew plan and above)

The whole process takes a few minutes. Your client gets a report that looks like it took an hour.
